The Town of Caledon purchased a section of the abandoned railway in Inwork began to create a multi-use trailway that promotes the enjoyment and understanding of Caledon’s unique cultural and natural features.

The trail bisects all major landscape features in Caledon: Learn more about the Caledon Trailway. The Trans Canada Trail, re-named The Great Trailstretches nearly 24, kilometres from the Atlantic to the Pacific to the Arctic oceans, linking Canadians in close to communities. Most Canadians can access the trail within 30 minutes, which has almost pavilions across the country. On August 26, Caledon celebrated the connection of the Trans Canada Trail with a new Pavilion and commemorative stone.


Caledon’s Trans Canada Trail pavilion was the first of its kind in Canada, built in The park also features a pond and Caledon’s Walk of Fame. The new signs and panels include wayfinding signage, interpretive panels and trailhead signs.
