Give them a shot of some good clean power, put on some music with good rock guitar in it, and turn that volume control a fair ways clockwise — I’ll bet you like them. I thought it best not to try and clean this because I didn’t want to jb, the woofer cone. I installed walnut veneer around these knobs to replace the worn out metal plate that was originally there.

ON the L’s, here’s what I was facing. I haven’t agreed to purchase, only to look at them.

We use these in all JBL speaker restorations. No pushed in cones or smashed corners on these units with nice grills even though they are 431 bit dusty from age. The tweets definitely need foam, though the existing foam is intact.
